The first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue went on sale in January 1964 for 35cents.

In the 45 years since, the Swimsuit Issue has grown into a media phenomenon.

Here’s a look at the covers from the 1960′s – I assume to the men of the era these covers were sexy, the women were hot and the locations exotic.
