The first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue went on sale in January 1964 for 35cents.
In the 45 years since, the Swimsuit Issue has grown into a media phenomenon.
Here’s a look at the covers from the 1960′s – I assume to the men of the era these covers were sexy, the women were hot and the locations exotic.
1964 – Babette March – Cozumel
1965 – Sue Peterson – Baja California
1966 – Sunny Bippus – Bahamas
1967 – Marilyn Tindall – Arizona
1968 – Turia Mau – French Polynesia
1969 – Jamee Becker – Puerto Rico
