Half Naked Chicks Make Ballet Sexy

Until I seen this gallery of sexy ads for ballet shoes my only thoughts of ballet would have been my grandmother watching Carmen or Swan Lake on a Sunday afternoon with the TV cranked to the max.
Ballet and sexy just don’t usually go together, do they? It’s not something you’d associate with hot model going topless just to advertise dancing shoes.
If I’d thought for a minute there were babes like this on stage I’d have pulled up a chair and joined old granny. Although I doubt they’d have been topless – or good looking.

Ballerinas are, without a shadow of a doubt, the most incredibly sensuous and erotic of girls. The comparitively few pictures of them danging naked available on the net proves this beyond question. And there’s the rub – why so few photographs? Contemporary dance companies, notably NDT, have no problem with staging works featuring nude dancers. I can’t believe that every one of these girls is unwilling to perform similarly for photographers. Equally, there are many first-rate dance photographers who would do them justice. So why is this rich resource not being made more use of?
