Why are news readers here in the UK not sexing up the 6 o’clock bulletin by flashing some cleavage like their Russian counterparts?
If they had women dressing like this viewing figures would double overnight.
No volume needed to watch this clip unless you speak Russian.

excuse my ignorance – I was a little pre occupied with the ‘display’ to pay much attention to what she was saying.
Fair enough. If I’d have had to guess without recognizing the language, I’d have said Russian as well. Also, as you point out, the language she’s speaking isn’t what’s important.
